Catering & Conference Service Guidelines
Furnace Creek Inn offers full service catering in the banquet facility appropriate for your group. We
are fully equipped to provide private meals, receptions, and business meeting needs.
The Sales Department can help groups plan a variety of food and beverage functions. Buffet (minimum of 25 guests), and plated meals are available for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In addition, we provide continental breakfasts and box lunches for those guests on the go. We also offer special outdoor banquets such as "Barbecue Under the Stars" (seasonal) in our beautiful Date Grove at the Ranch. Furnace Creek will gladly custom tailor menus and can accommodate special dietary requirements.
Exclusive Catering Rights
All food and beverage consumed in the banquet facilities must be purchased from Furnace Creek Inn & Ranch Resort. Guests are not permitted to bring liquor, beer, or wine acquired from outside sources to any food and beverage function, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Sales Department. Corkage fees may apply.
Menu Selections
The Sales Staff will be glad to assist you in all aspects of planning your event. Menu prices reflect current market prices and are subject to change. We request that banquet meal and beverage orders be made at least four weeks prior to event whenever possible. Prices are subject to state sales tax and an 18% service charge.

Guarantees
Written guarantees for all functions must be given to the Sales Department at least 72 hours prior to the event. If no guarantee is received, the number on the Banquet Event Order will serve as the minimum guarantee, and will not be subject to reduction. A $150 late fee will be assessed if guests arrive 30 minutes past the assigned event time.
Deposit, Payment and Cancellation Policy
In order to reserve function rooms, 10% of the total estimated charge for food and beverage is due upon signing and returning the Banquet Event Order Contract. 50% of the projected total charge is due 45 days prior to the date of the event. Full payment for any group function must be made at least 15 days prior to the event. A 50% cancellation fee, based on the total estimated revenue, will be incurred for any event canceled within 15 days of the function date. The function sponsor by signing the banquet check for food, beverage, and/or services, waives all claims relating to such food, beverage, and services. The sponsor is solely responsible for payment of amount due.
Service Charge and Tax
Please add an 18% service charge plus 7.75% sales tax to the total amount of all food and beverage charges. Tax-exempt organizations must furnish a certificate of exemption to the Sales Department at least two weeks prior to the event.
Banquet Room Assignment
Function rooms are assigned based on the number of guests anticipated. If attendance changes, we reserve the right to reassign a group to a more suitable room. Plated meals are not available for Marquez Room banquets. In the event of inclement weather during outdoor events, an indoor alternative is made available to your group. Additional labor charges apply to outdoor events, as well as technician charges for setting up supplemental electrical power, lighting, etc. Please contact the Sales Department if your event time changes.
Meeting Room Rentals
Rental charges are normally assessed on meeting and banquet space, based upon size of room, duration of use, set-up involved, etc. These charges may be adjusted based upon the overall scope of the group program.
Audio Visual
The resort can provide basic, in-house audiovisual equipment, such as projectors, screens, microphones, etc. at competitive rental rates. We are happy to secure rates for more sophisticated equipment from outside vendors.
Linen
Furnace Creek Inn & Ranch Resort provides white, cream, and checkered tablecloths and napkins. Specialty linens are available at an extra charge.
Golf
Our Director of Golf would be happy to assist with arrangements for group golf tournaments. Appropriate golf attire is required for both group and individual play at Furnace Creek Golf Course. A full line of golf apparel and accessories is available in the Golf shop. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased at the 19th Hole or from the Beverage Cart. Under no circumstances should outside alcohol or personal coolers be brought to the course.
Damage and Loss Liability
Guests will be held accountable for any and all damage to equipment, facilities, and other property. Furnace Creek Inn & Ranch Resort does not assume responsibility for the damage, loss, or theft of personal property brought to any food and beverage function.
